Welcome to Central Coast Screens!

We help you bring the outdoors in so you can enjoy the breeze (and the view) while keeping pests outside where they belong.

Our mobile trailer is equipped to handle jobs of all types, from screen door installation and window screen repair to custom-built screens for your home, office or business. Whether you're looking to fix or replace existing window screens or add something new—like a new hinged or retractable screen door—we’ve got you covered, literally :-)

Window Screen Repair & Installation

Window Screen Repair

If you have existing window screens that are ripped, torn or stained, we’d love to restore them to good-as-new! As long as the screen frame is intact we can reuse the frame and install new screen fabric; usually on-site, the same day we visit.

New Window Screens

We are also glad to install new window screens if your frames are damaged, you’d like to change the frame or screen fabric style, or don’t have any to begin with. To get started, we’ll come out to take accurate measurements (down to the 1/16”) for each screen needed. You will then select the frame color, thickness and screen fabric you prefer and we’ll walk though pricing options together.

Window Frame Colors

Window frames are offered in white, bronze and silver as well as custom-painted colors, if you desire. Frame thicknesses vary from 5/16–7/16, depending on the frame style you choose. When it comes to screen fabric, we offer four different types: Standard Charcoal, Solar Screen (blocks 65% of light), Tuff Screen (aka Pet Screen, and Stainless Steel.

  Screen Door Installation & Repair

custom Screen Doors

We are proud to offer a variety of made-to-order sliding screen doors, hinged screen doors and retractable screen doors. To get started, an accurate measurement (down to 1/16”) is taken of the door frame. The style, frame color and screen fabric are then selected by you as we discuss pricing options. After that, we collect payment for the door and place the order. Within a few days of delivery, we will make an appointment to come out and install the door to ensure everything is working properly (and you’re happy with the final result!).

Screen Door Repair

If you have an existing screen door that needs some love, we’re here to help! We can easily repair torn or ripped screen mesh, broken handles, hydraulic closers and sliding mechanisms; usually on-site, the same day we visit.

Real People Work Here

Eric Fitler, Central Coast Screens Owner & Operator

Hi, I’m Eric Fitler, owner and operator of Central Coast Screens.

I was born and raised here on the Central Coast and ended up in the Bay Area with Hannah, my then-girlfriend, now-wife, as we pursued various work opportunities.

While living in Napa, a series of fortunate events led to us returning to San Luis Obispo:

01. I began an apprenticeship program with California Screen Machine, one of largest screen companies in the country; and

02. A few months after deciding to foster-adopt a son (Levi), we found out we were pregnant with twin boys (Jace & Beau).

It was time to pack up and head back to SLO to start my own business and get some help caring for our quickly expanding family…

In early 2021, equipped with a mobile screen repair trailer I purchased from my former boss, Central Coast Screens was born (as were Jace & Beau, eventually)!

It’s been a wild ride so far, but being back on the beautiful central coast and working for the amazing people here, makes it a lot easier. There’s no other place I’d rather be living and working…
